While INQ’s Cloud Touch and Cloud Q are the very first Facebook-focused smartphones with a social homescreen, HTC’s newly announced ChaCha and Salsa take a step further by offering one-touch Facebook access with a dedicated Facebook button for one-touch access to the key functions of the Facebook service that are integrated throughout the HTC Sense experience. Both phones run Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.

The Facebook button on HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa is context-aware, gently pulsing with light whenever there is an opportunity to share content or updates through Facebook. For example, when you are viewing a photo and you want to share the photo with friends, you can simply press the Facebook button and the photo will be uploaded to facebook instantly. Or let your friends know what song you’re listening to by pressing the button while listening to music on the phone. The track is automatically identified and shared on Facebook.

The ChaCha and Salsa are boosted by 600MHz processor, 512MB RAM and 512MB RAM. They come with a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video chat. The ChaCha will have a 2.6-inch 480×320 touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard, while the Salsa gets a 3.4-inch 480×320 touchscreen. Both phones support GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi and are equipped with g-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, light sensor, 3.5mm jack, micro USB connector and a microSD memory card slot.
HTC ChaCha and Salsa work with quad-band GSM/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA 3G networks. They will be released in Q2 and will be available in the US market from AT&T.
