HP EliteBook 8740w New Mobile Workstation announced

HP has announced its new mobile workstation dubbed as HP EliteBook 8740w. HP EliteBook 8740w is powered by either Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors with Turbo Boost Technology, ATI FirePro M7820, NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M, or Quadro FX 3800M graphics, up to 16GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM and with up to 500GB HDD or up to 256GB SSD and runs Windows 7, XP or Vista operating system.

The HP EliteBook 8740w features a 17 inch LED backlit Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a spill-resistant keyboard and a 2 megapixel webcam. It can be equipped with a DVD burner or a Blu-ray drive. The mobile workstation also includes 2 USB 3.0 ports Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n , Bluetooth 2.1, eSATA, VGA, an Express Card/54 slot, GPS, Gigabit Ethernet, optional mobile broadband, RJ45, D-Sub and DisplayPort connectors or video output. It measures 397.5 x 285.5 x 36.5 mm.The HP EliteBook 8740w will be available at a starting price of $1999 in April.
